Akira Toriyama's Manga Theater

Manga Theater is an anthology series of various oneshots by Akira Toriyama. These comics were originally published from late 1970s to early 1990s in various magazines. Includes everything you could expect from Toriyama's work: comedy and action!

I've mentioned when talking about Dragon Ball (check out my manga collection page!) that I like Akira Toriyama's works a lot, and this anthology is one of the reasons why! His artstyle and stupid retro gag comedy just really hits the spot. My favorite aspects of his work are his vehicle designs though... They're so cute... If you like this kind of stuff, I'd recommend checking out at least one of the oneshots out!

This edition is, as of writing this (1/2022) the latest addition to my collection and I think it's great: Viz's print is high quality and having all the anthology volumes (originally 3 volumes) in one officially translated omnibus is great. It was a bit expensive (~30-40 euros, which is a lot compared to Finnish grocery store manga priced ~6 euros) but I think it was worth the money. ^^
